Founded in 2023 by musician and sound engineer Marc Reeves, The Bunkhouse is a small yet vibrant studio located in the heart of Nottinghamshire. The Bunkhouse is equipped with some excellent audio gear, both new and old. With a Pro Tools, RME UFX3 and SSL Alphalink frontend, The Bunkhouse is well suited to a variety of projects. From AKG, Shure, Sennheiser, Nuemann, Aston, Sontronics and more you’ll be spoiled for microphone choices. We have a plethora of mic preamps including Neve and API style as well as a variety of outboard gear and some of the best industry standard plugins from Slate, Waves, Soundtoys and more.
Hi, I’m Marc!
I’ve been working in the music industry for over a decade now, both in the studio and within the live sector. I’ve worked with many local and independent artists, as well as those on a national touring level, including Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine), SKYND, Eyre Llew, This is The Kit, Khruangbin, Toploader and many more. I have a deep technical understanding and great ear for music and can work with you both as an engineer and on a production level to help you achieve your vision. As well as recording, mixing and mastering music, I am equally at home with post production projects – whether it be voiceover recording, editing or ADR, I can help!
The Studio
From recording, mixing and mastering, to post production and podcasts, I can help bring your projects to life. Mixing and mastering can be done remotely or in person, and for any recording projects I will work with you from start to finish to create a recording environment that’s right for you. Get in touch to discuss your specific needs and together we can work out scheduling, pricing and workflow to suit your needs. I have a multi camera setup based around an Atem Mini Pro ISO that can capture raw, multi camera footage ready for editing, or edited on-the-fly. Whether for video podcasts or live music sessions, I can accommodate your needs.
